My Mission

At Tayler'd Tending, I strive to nurture your family through your most tender moments by delivering heartfelt meals and compassionate in-home care. My mission is to infuse nourishment into your transformative journey, fostering wellness and connection one meal and visit at a time. I believe in cultivating a community of support, ensuring that your family feels cherished, empowered, and fully tended to as you embrace the beauty of the unknown.

My Values

My philosophy of care is based on 4 pillars supported by a strong foundation of Community Support:

Rest

This one usually goes without saying. After any strenuous, life-changing event, the body needs adequate time to rest and restore itself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Pushing the body to “bounce back” before it's ready risks jeopardizing the short and long-term recovery of overall health.

Warmth

Our body functions and flows best when it’s kept warm and well-rested. Cold in the body creates stagnation and limits our ability to flush out toxins. Warmth encourages proper blood flow, oxygenates our cells more efficiently and speeds up the healing process.

Body Care

Human beings need loving touch. Babies require it to thrive, and adults are no different despite society’s expectations. Having a trusted friend or professional infuse your body with positive, nourishing touch not only feels great, but also encourages proper flow of our lymphatic and blood systems, as well as increases oxytocin and serotonin; feel-good hormones.

Nourishment

The human body requires certain compounds, minerals and vitamins to properly build, heal and nourish our cells; it’s biological design. It’s especially important to be supporting our body with the best possible nourishment after a big life event, such as pregnancy, birth, surgery or injury. That’s why, at Tayler’d Tending, my meals, drinks and snacks are almost or completely organic, grass-fed, and local.

Land Acknowledgement

Tayler’d Tending wholeheartedly acknowledges that I am located on Treaty 6 territory - a traditional travelling route, gathering place and meeting grounds for Indigenous Peoples, including the Nehiyaw, Denesųłıné, Siksikaitsitapi, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Métis Otipemisiwak and Esikisimu Nunangat. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to live, work and care for others on these sacred lands. I recognize the atrocities inflicted upon generations of Indigenous Peoples at the hands of colonizing peoples, and I strive to become a respectful steward of the land as an act of reconciliation and healing.
